Our aim is to try and raise the profile and awareness of
societies/communities and individuals organising events of Pakistani
interest. We hope to offer many of these groups the benefit of
recruiting
new members via our website.
We have identified that there are a number of people who are members of
more
than one community and have benefited from this increased socialisation
in
terms of their lifestyle, career etc.
In addition to this, many social organisations have arisen to cater for
particular niches within the Pakistani community, young and old e.g.
youth
clubs and professional social networking groups.
We have identified a need to allow all these groups to have a place
online
where they can communicate with their own members, and potential new
members
via the set up of a public events calendar. This resource can be used
to
keep the website users informed of events and recent developments that
take
place within a society/community
The public events calendar will categorise events by area of interest
i.e.
arts, sports, theatrical, networking etc. It will also contain details
of
the event organisers, venue, pricing and other pertinent information.
In line with our growth, we intend to have other popular features that
may
be expected from a web-based information resource such as an events
review
section and a collection of user-contributed articles on a variety of
topics
of Pakistani interest. Charities and businesses of Pakistani interests
in
and around London may use our events calendar to publicise their events
